We've been offering LONWORKS installation and design courses to our electricians at our apprenticeship school in Ann Arbor, MI since November 1998. We've also provided extensive LONWORKS training to union electricians from Lansing, Detroit, and Battle Creek. Our training is centered on the fundamentals of network management and device commissioning, using the latest version of Echelon LONMAKER® for Windows and LNS 2.0. We have the skills, training infrastructure, and the industry contacts to make your LONWORKS-based project a complete success.
As part of the training, we've installed a fully-operational LONWORKS network, including Coactive® Routers that connect LONWORKS networks via Ethernet and the Internet; Leviton® Lighting Controllers; JRS Technologies® Ballasts; a Square D® PowerLink® panel; a Cutler-Hammer® variable frequency drive; a Power Measurment® ION® 7300 power meter; a Circon® card access controller; Echelon® LONPOINT® nodes, and many discrete digital I/O devices.
We have extensive contacts within the LONWORKS industry:
- Our school has been a beta test site for Leviton, Power Measurement, and ACT.
- Our school's administrative body, the Ann Arbor Electrical Joint Apprenticeship and Training Committee, is a member of the LONMARK® Interoperability Association.
- Our LONWORKS Program Director participated in a LONMARK Interoperability Association task group to develop a proposal for Systems Integrator certification.
