Union electrical workers and contractors have raised $118,000 since 2000 for patients staying at Mott over the holidays
(ANN ARBOR, Mich.) — The electricians and electrical contractors of IBEW 252 and NECA Michigan Chapter, South Central Division on Monday donated $11,125 in Meijer gift cards to children staying at C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital over the Christmas holiday.
This year’s donation puts the group’s total raised at $118,000 since the charity began in 2000. The gift cards will be delivered by staff to Mott pediatric patients on Christmas Eve.
The group’s donations this year exceeded last year’s total, despite the economic downturn caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
